Middle School Chorus
Suzanne is the Middle School Music & Theatre Director at DLMS. She teaches 5th Grade General Music, 7th Grade Theatre Arts, 8th Grade Guitar and Songwriting, directs the 5th, 6th, and 7th & 8th Grade Choruses. She also directs the 6th Grade Medieval Production and 7th & 8th Grade Theatre Production. She is an active member of Middle Tennessee Vocal Association (MTVA), Music Educators National Convention (MENC), and American Choral Director's Association (ACDA).
Suzanne graduated in June of 1981 from Lipscomb University receiving a B.S. Degree in Music Education and Speech Communications. Her first teaching job was at Middle Tennessee Christian School from 1982-84 teaching music K-12. After moving to Atlanta in 1984, she taught Music K-8 at Greater Atlanta Christian School. She stayed at GACS from 1984-97, teaching music, directing middle school chorus, and acting as Productions Coordinator. In 1997, she moved back to Nashville and began teaching music at David Lipscomb Middle School. Immediately, she also began working on her Master's degree. In the Spring of 2000, she completed her Master's degree in Educational Instructional Leadership.
In addition to her busy teaching and directing schedule, she is married to Richard Craig, the Worship Leader at West End Church of Christ. Together they have three children; Rachel, a Theatre Major at MTSU, Chelsea, a Theatre Major at Lipscomb University, and Jamin, a Junior at Lipscomb H.S. Suzanne is an active member of the West End Church of Christ, working with the Worship Ministry. She is also a vocalist in one of the praise bands at Woodmont Hills Church, and ocassionally sings background vocals for Cheri Keaggy and others.
